Mandy is Mike and Helen’s daughter. She is impulsive and brave and always has a new ambition that she pursues wholeheartedly. Whether it’s mountain climbing, hot air ballooning or spotting a rarely seen sea turtle, Mandy will embrace it to the max. Norman is her best friend and they can be a bad influence on each other. If Norman suggests that they ignore a sign that reads Do Not Enter Mandy might be a bit resistant at first but will often go along with it.
Mandy is a very loyal friend and will always shoulder the blame when Sarah, James, and herself get into trouble even if it wasn’t entirely her fault. Mandy is always testing the parameters of her world and will probably grow up to be as inspirational as her mum, someone who she knows is one of the great heroes of Pontypandy.

Mandy would like to be an around the world yachtswoman when she grows up, which she’ll probably achieve if she takes enough time off from being a mountain climber.
