Radar is a Dalmatian and the Pontypandy Fire Station’s brave a loyal firedog. Radar has been trained as a rescue dog and is very brave. He is a great sniffer dog and has often been the hero in search and rescue missions sniffing out casualties and hearing distress calls with his keen sense of hearing – and he can get into places where fire-fighters can’t always fit! Always eager to help, Radar often forgets to look before he leaps and sometimes finds himself in trouble he hasn’t anticipated. He is loyal and lovable has a keen sense of smell and sensitive hearing. As well as being a mascot, Radar is a real help to the team – even if he does need rescuing himself from time to time.

Although Radar belongs to the whole Fire Station, Elvis treats him like his own.
